Christmas is the time to indulge in one of our favourite treats. So we’ve found the places that will please everyone’s sweet tooth.

Blue Mountains Chocolate Company
176 Lurline St, Katoomba
Next time you’re in the Blue Mountains make sure you pay a visit to the Blue Mountains Chocolate Co. This shop is the perfect place to purchase Christmas stocking fillers. They stock a huge range of chocolate blocks – chilli, and lemon and ginger are some of the more obscure choices. However you can’t go wrong with the classic ganache or praline filled chocolates. There’s a cafe in the shop as well so indulge in their famous hot chocolate when you finish shopping.

The Choc Pot
7/1 Railway Parade, Burwood
The Choc Pot is a newcomer on the chocolate scene. Opened by chocolate loving couple Ash and Deirdre just two months ago this place is set to take the chocolate world by storm. Self-taught dessert chef Ash, gave up studying medicine to make chocolate, and he now does so everyday at The Choc Pot dessert bar in Burwood. Each dessert has a small twist – we love the salted caramel that comes with the chocolate souffle, the M&M filled waffles, and just don’t get us started on the molten choc pot. It’s open until late which makes it the perfect spot for an after dinner treat.

‘Ndulge
5/9 Hill Street, Roseville
This shop has only just opened in Roseville. Hidden away on Hill Street, it’s hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for. The owner uses only the finest Belgian ingredients to make her chocolate fresh on the premises. ‘Ndulge also offers chocolate making workshops – so if you fancy yourself a bit of a chocolatier why not give one a go?

The Sydney Chocolate School
Building 21, 1110 Middle Head Road, Mosman
If you’re no longer content with just eating chocolate then why not learn to make it for yourself? At the Sydney Chocolate School beginners can undertake a three-hour course in chocolate making. Throughout the day you will prepare chocolate treats using the traditional hand tempering on marble technique. Chocolate slabs, stars and flaked chocolate are some of the items featured on the menu. Plus you get a goodie bag at the end of the day filled with treats to share (or keep for yourself!)

Max Brenner
235 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives
No one can look past the old favourite Max Brenner for a much-needed local late-night chocolate fix. The St Ives venue is always bustling with activity in the evening. Order a chocolate lick with a chocolate peanut butter milkshake on the side for a well-deserved Christmas treat. Max Brenner also sells quirky mugs, chocolate and cookbooks so consider buying a chocolate-loving friend a gift if you’re stuck for ideas.
